To C. H. Tindal 17 November 1879
Down, | Beckenham, Kent.
Nov. 17th. 1879
Dear Sir,
I am very much obliged by your kind offer of lending me the M.S.S. relating to my grandfather.1
The little biography has already appeared, but I should be grateful if you would send me the letters. I should be interested in reading them, & I might see whether they would be of use in case of a second edition of the Life of Dr Darwin.2
I need not say that I would take the greatest care of them & return them as soon as I had read them & if necessary made extracts from them.
With my best thanks for your kindness, | I am, Dear Sir | Yours faithfully | Charles Darwin
