I thank you for your kind letter & curious photograph.—1 I shall be much pleased to receive any further communication on domestic productions, but let me urge you not to send me anything valuable, unless you publish it elsewhere, for I am growing old & know not whether I shall ever have strength & time to continue my former researches.
