Elizabeth Eliza (Eliza) Adams (1863–1919)
1827–1919
Daughter of Halliday Bruce of Dublin, Ireland. Married John Couch Adams in 1863. In her husband’s memory she left a bequest to augment the stipend of a John Couch Adams astronomer, who was not to be a professor.
