Surgeon. Studied at King’s College, London. FRCS 1860. Demonstrator of anatomy, Westminster Hospital, 1856; lecturer on anatomy and assistant surgeon, 1862. Consulting surgeon to the St George and St James Dispensary, 1858; surgeon to the West London Hospital at Hammersmith, 1860; surgeon to the Hospital for Women in Soho, 1870. Assistant surgeon and teacher of operative surgery, University College Hospital, 1866; full surgeon, 1871; Holme Professor of clinical surgery, 1875.
