William Brinton

Physician. Specialised in stomach disorders; author of Diseases of the stomach, with an introduction on its anatomy and physiology (1859). Treated CD in 1863. Member of the faculty at the medical school, King’s College, London, 1847–53. Physician, Royal Free Hospital, 1852–60. Appointed lecturer, medical school, St Thomas’s Hospital, 1853; physician, 1860–4. FRS 1864.
