Ernest Edwards

1837–1903

Photographer. Ran a photographic studio in London, specialising in portraits, 1864–9. Inventor of the heliotype process in 1869 and manager of the Heliotype Company works in Kilburn, 1872. Moved to Boston, and later New York, where he opened commercial firms in landscape photography and colour printing.
