1801–73

Novelist and poet. Daughter of Edmund Wigley (from 1811 Meysey-Wigley) and his wife Anna Maria Meysey, of Shakenhurst, Worcestershire. Older sister of Charles Wicksted’s wife, Mary Charlotte Wigley. Married Archer Clive, rector of Solihull, in 1840. Published a volume of religious meditations in 1827. Also published verse under the pseudonym ‘V’. She achieved notoriety with the publication of her novel Paul Ferroll in 1855.
