William Howard Russell
1820–1907
War correspondent who worked primarily for The Times. Covered the Crimean War, the Mutiny in India, the American Civil War (from March 1861 to April 1862), the Prussian–Austrian War, the Franco–Prussian War, and the Zulu War in South Africa.
