William George Pullinger

b. 1811

Chief cashier with the Union Bank of London. Exposed in 1860 for having embezzled £263,000 from the bank and was sentenced to twenty years’ imprisonment. Transported to Australia. May have died at Bathurst, New South Wales, in 1876.
