William Baxter
1794–1857
Chemist and druggist. ‘Dresser’ to the surgeon James Scott. A founding member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and a founder of the Bromley Literary Institute. Opened a chemist’s shop in Bromley in 1818, and later branches in Dartford and Greenwich.
