William MacLeod

1818/19–75

Scottish physician. MD, University of St Andrews, 1843; appointed physican at the Edinburgh Royal Public Dispensary and lectured at the Argyle Square School of Medicine before moving to Yorkshire where he took up appointments as physician at the Wharfedale hydropathic establishment, and at the Institute for Diseases of Females, Bradford. Physician at the hydropathic establishment at Ben Rhydding, Otley, Yorkshire, 1849–75. Published widely on hydropathic treatment.
