Isidore Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire

1805–61

French zoologist. Succeeded his father, Etienne Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, as professor at the Muséum d’histoire naturelle in 1841. Continued his father’s work in teratology. Became professor of zoology at the Sorbonne in 1850.
