Charles Henry Moberly
1833–1902
Civil engineer. Born in Odessa. Studied at the Applied Sciences Department, King’s College, London, 1849–52. Worked for Messrs J. and G. Rennie, Blackfriars, London, from 1852; River Steamers Company of Cork, 1856–8; Volga Steam Navigation Company, 1858–65. Manager of the Erith, Kent, works of Easton, Amos and Anderson, from 1865; partner in the firm, 1878, and later director; retired, 1892. Elected member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, 1881.
