Anna (Annie) Brassey (1860–1887)
1839–87
Traveller and author. Famous for popular accounts of ocean voyages. Daughter of John and Elizabeth Allnutt. Married Thomas Brassey, Liberal politician and writer on naval affairs, in 1860. Became Lady Brassey when her husband was created Baron Brassey in 1886.
