Salomon Müller
1804–63
German naturalist and zoologist. Studied zoology at Heidelberg but did not take a degree. Hired as taxidermist on the Natuurkundige Commissie voor Nederlandsch Indië and travelled in the Dutch East Indies, 1825–37; made large zoological and botanical collections for Leiden museum. Awarded a doctorate in absentia by the University of Heidelberg, 1837.
