Dear Sir
I request that you will give my best thanks to your Committee for the honour which they have conferred on me by my election as an honorary Member. Owing to ill health I fear that I shall never take advantage of the privileges thus kindly granted me,—but I am not the less obliged to the Committee.1
I have the honour to remain | dear Sir | yours faithfully Ch. Darwin
