To Adolph Reuter   17 April 1873

Down, | Beckenham, Kent.

April 17/73

Dear Sir

I thank you for your kind letter & curious photograph.—1 I shall be much pleased to receive any further communication on domestic productions, but let me urge you not to send me anything valuable, unless you publish it elsewhere, for I am growing old & know not whether I shall ever have strength & time to continue my former researches.

Dear Sir | Yours very faithfully | Ch. Darwin

Thanks for letter and curious photographs. Urges AR not to send anything valuable unless he publishes it elsewhere because CD is growing old and may not have strength and time to continue his former researches.
