I am greatly obliged by the gift of the first number of your magnificent work on the fossils of Mt Léberon.1 I really do not feel worthy of your repeated acts of generosity.

Gaudry had written the section on vertebrates in Animaux fossiles du Mont Léberon (Vaucluse) (Gaudry et al. 1873). CD’s copy is in the Darwin Library–Down.
