The committe appointed by the academical Verein der Naturhistoriker of the University in Vienna has the honour to acknowledge the receipt of Your valuable works.1 The committe at the sametime desire to express their full appreciation of the distinction thus accorded to them and to record their warmest thanks for this very important addition to their library.

In conclusion they venture to express the hope, that You will continue Your good will and sympathy to the young society,2 which now rejoices in such an unequivocal proov of Your favour.
