To J. S. Bristowe 18 September 1868
Down. | Bromley. | Kent. S.E.
Sep 18. 1868
Dear Sir
I am very much obliged to you for your great kindness in taking the trouble to send me the facts about the coloured grapes; but I need not ask you to take any further trouble as I have already heard of several analogous cases—1
Some cases are given in the chapter on Bud-variation in my last published book—2
With my thanks | I remain dear Sir | yours very faithfully | Ch. Darwin
