To John Murray 10 April [1867]1
Down. | Bromley. | Kent. S.E.
Ap 10
My dear Sir
Will you have a set of Stereotypes made for Herr Schweizerbart: he told you in his note how to forward them & how he wd repay you. I am anxious that they shd be good stereotypes; & would it not be a good plan to have a proof struck from each sent to me for inspection?2
I should be particularly obliged if you wd let me hear the cost of the whole set as soon as you know what it amounts to, for the Russian translator wants a set, but first wishes to know the cost, as he thinks he could get them done very cheaply in Russia—but I should prefer his having the originals.3
I am sincerely sorry to say that my corrections are frightfully heavy, though I had this part of the MS. copied & thought I had corrected it well.4
My dear Sir | yours very sincerely | Ch. Darwin
