Dear Charles

Mr Moran asked Mr Lawrence to convey the enclosed letter to you, as he did not like to do so directly without some one assuring you that he was respectable.2 I have written Mr Moran’s address if you send any acknowlednt to him as Mr Lawrence evidently hoped you would.
