Down | Beckenham | Kent.
May 19th
My dear Sir,
On my return home today I found your very kind present of your “Witness of History etc” which I believe arrived two or three days ago.2
I thank you very sincerely for thinking of me, and, from turning over the pages, I feel sure that I shall find much that will interest me.
Pray believe me, with much respect. | Yours very faithfully | C. Darwin
