From Eduard Koch1 11 December 1867
Geehrter Herr!

Translation
From Eduard Koch1 11 December 1867
Honoured Sir!
Having your very honoured letter of 22 Nov. to hand, I am pleased to have two copies of the first volume sent to you today.2
We will take care of distributing presentation copies as directed and will also send out the second volume in due course.3
You have my sincere thanks for the assurance of translation rights for your later works, and I will always strive to earn your total satisfaction by producing the work to a high standard.4
Prof. Carus has already started on the translation of the second volume and I hope to be able to send the completed volume to you in March or April 1868.5
Please inform me at your earliest convenience when the work is to be published in England;6 due to peculiar German circumstances, I must necessarily publish it this year,7 since publication after New Year would mean that a general idea of sales would only be possible in 1869. Your earliest reply would therefore please me very much.
In closing, please accept the assurance of my highest respect and admiration | E. Schweizerbart’sche Verlagshdg | Eduard Koch
