Absence from home during two days has prevented from acknowledging before today, as I now do, the safe receipt of your Second Letter—1 And I beg to render you my sincere thanks for yr. kindness in replying to my questions, by which I am enabled to understand, better than I did before, the hypothesis of the doctrine of Evolution.
