To J. D. Hooker [25 May 1847]1
[Down]
Tuesday
My dear Hooker
I do not know whether you are at home & have received my former note; but I write now to say I find I cannot come on Friday, but if you are at home on Thursday & are disengaged for a “jaw” (to use Falconers2 favourite graphic term) I am your man.
If at home will you send me one line (shame on me for causing you a second note) to “7 Park St Grosvenor Sqre.”
Ever yours | C. Darwin
