School principal and naturalist. Second son of Robert Walker Dixon and Susan Dixon. BA, London University, 1880. BA (Classics), Cambridge, 1883. Principal of a school for the deaf, Northampton, 1883–1910. Honorary secretary of the Northamptonshire Natural History Society, 1888; honorary member of the Cryptogamic Society of Scotland; of the Caradoc and Severn Field Club. Fellow of the Linnean Society, 1885.
