Philanthropist and author. Daughter of Anthony Nathan and Louisa de Rothschild. Taught at the Jewish Free School in London from 1861. Married Cyril Flower in 1877. Founded the Jewish Association for the Protection of Girls and Young Women, 1885; member of the British Women’s Temperance Association, 1890; president of the National Union of Women Workers, 1901–3. From 1892 Lady Battersea.
