Frederic Francis Hallett
1830/1–1901
Brewer, landowner, and agriculturist. Major in the volunteers. Partner in the brewing firm Hallett & Abbey, Hove, Sussex. Farmed at Black Rock, Brighton, Sussex. Developed pedigree strains of wheat, and established a seed company. Fellow of the Linnean Society, 1862.
