Darwin Correspondence Project

To R. F. Cooke   13 October [1871]1

Down, Beckenham, Kent

Oct. 13th.

My dear Sir

Mr Dallas has almost agreed to make glossary of 6–8 pages of Index Type for the 10£, to be finished by November 20th.; and I do not think I can possibly finish quite so soon as that,—though I have lately been making good progress.2 I have sent 6 first Chapters to Messrs Clowes, and have heard from him that he will attend to it.3 I gave no instructions about size of type, number of lines in page &c. I presume that you have seen to all this.

My dear Sir | Yours sincerely | Ch. Darwin.
