Cher monsieur

Croyez moi cher monsieur | votre bien devoué | Em Alglave

Dear sir

I have come to an agreement with Mr Moulinié and his publisher Mr Reinwald to publish some chapters of your new book in the Revue.2 The first has appeared in the latest no of the Revue scientifique, of which I sent you some copies;3 if you would like more, it would be my pleasure to send them to you straight away, or to dispatch them to all the addresses that you indicate

You will receive, almost at the same time as my letter, proofs of the translation of the following chapter:4 I should be most grateful if you could correct these, like the other English authors whose work appears in the Revue. It was by oversight that you were not sent the proofs of the first chapter; but if you should have remarked some mistake, you could write a short erratum, which we would add to the article that you are about to receive

Believe me dear sir | truly yours | Em Alglave
