My dear Dr Bence Jones
I must thank you cordially for your very kind invitation;2 but my stomach, not withstanding all your good aid, is too diabolical to allow me to visit anywhere except at a very few of my nearest relations, where I can behave as I like. We shall, also, start soon for a visit to my son.—3 If it had been possible I shd thoroughily have enjoyed accepting your kindness.— Your letter has been an immense relief to me; but I will be careful & try & not work too hard.
