My dear Sir

I am much obliged for your kindness in sending me the splendid specimen on the Drosophyllum, which I have received safely.2

I will not trouble you to send me any living plants, as I have done all I could, but to my great regret have not succeeded in making out much.

With my best thanks | Yours sincerely | Ch. Darwin
