I thank you for yr letter of Dec 11th & for your great kindness in informing me about the development of the spurs in the 2 species of Pavo.1 If in the course of the winter or spring you shd perceive any difference in their rate of development, I shd esteem it a singular favour if you wd inform me, as I have no other means of ascertaining the point.
