Dear Oliver

I am extremely obliged to you for all the trouble you have taken in correcting so fully the paper which I sent you, & which I will now transmit to Linn. Soc.2

Dear Oliver | yours very sincerely | Ch. Darwin

Footnotes

The year is established by the relationship between this letter and the letter from Daniel Oliver, 23 October 1865.
Fritz Müller’s paper (Müller 1865b; reproduced in this volume as the letter from Fritz Müller, [12 and 31 August, and 10 October 1865]) was read at the Linnean Society meeting of 7 December 1865. Before the paper was published, CD added material from the letter from Fritz Müller, 10 October 1865 (see letter to Fritz Müller, 9 December [1865]).

Summary

Thanks for correcting Fritz Miller’s paper on climbing plants. CD will send it to Linnean Society.
