From W. H. Flower 9 May 1863
Royal College of Surgeons of England, | London, | (W.C.)
9th. day of May 1863
My dear Sir
I send you by this post, two copies of both views of the Niata Ox skull, presented by you to the College Museum.1 I am sorry that there has been so long a delay, but the photographer was very dilatory in printing. Other copies can be had if required, or views in other positions taken.
I find that a cast will cost £3〃3〃0, though when the first is made, copies can be taken from the mould for a much smaller sum.2
Hoping that the photographs will prove satisfactory to M. Quatrefages | I remain | very faithfully yours | W. H. Flower
