I hope that you will excuse the liberty which I take in giving this note to Dr. Montagu L (a brother of Sir John L.) as an introduction to you in reference to the Charing X Hospital2 I have known Dr. L since he was a boy, & I believe him to be an enthusiastic follower in the study of medicine & that he has worked hard for many years
