My dear Sir
Your note has pleased me exceedingly, for I fully expected that you would find the book intolerably dull, though the result of much labour.—1
I have written for the missing sheets & they shall be despatched on arrival.—
I am sure that they were sent to you, & you will some day discover them amongst your papers.
As I remember that you like to keep a perfect copy of my books, I despatched one yesterday by the Post.—2
