I am glad that you have appended the notes to your translation, & am much pleased that the original interested you.2
Many thanks for your kindness in having sent me an abstract of your notes.3
Whenever a new English edit. is required, which will not be soon, as 9000 copies have been printed, I will carefully reconsider your notes.4 I fear, however, that I shall have difficulty in seeing in England some of the articles to which you refer. I sincerely hope that your translation may be successful, & pray accept my thanks for all your kindness.
