Nov: 21. 1876
My dear Sir
I am truly grateful for your kind attention to my request, and I shall so far show my gratitude for your valuable advice as to refrain from aiding in carrying out the proposed Protest.1 The original idea was certainly not my own though I saw great possible advantages in it. My instinct was right in leading me to consult you before taking action.
I hope your health is better & that you will long be spared to instruct & guide us.
Ever most truly yrs | Charles Voysey
