Darwin Correspondence Project

To Bruno Schreiber   [after 24 June 1876]1

I wish that I could give any answer to your courteous letter. But I have not hist. knowledge enough to express any opinion on the simultaneous appearance of distinguished men.— With respect to Dr. R2 views, I can hardly believe that he has sufficient facts to establish his successive periods in the formation of the world, & without facts all experience shows that such speculations are useless

Yours — —
