Charles Lorenzo de Winton (1839–1879)

Army officer. Third son of the reverend Walter Wilkins of Hay Castle, Brecon. Ensign, Sixteenth Foot, 1839; lieutenant, 1841; captain, 1848; major, 1859. Transferred to Seventy-sixth Foot by 1866. The family adopted the name de Winton in 1839.
