Carlo Ernesto (Ernesto) Susanni

Italian political refugee. One of a group of Italian political emigrants who were forced to leave Italy and fought on the constitutional side in the Spain. Resident in London for a time. Married Maria Lister (b. 1806; daughter of William Lister and Elizabeth Solly) in London in 1849. Professor of Italian literature, 1851.
