George Sigerson

1838–1925

Irish physician and author. Studied medicine at Cork, Dublin, and Paris. Practised as a physician in Dublin, specialising in neurology. Professor of botany and of zoology at the Catholic University of Ireland medical school in Dublin and then at the National University of Ireland. Published on Irish history, culture, and politics as well as on medicine and botany.
