My dear Thwaites
I am very much obliged to you for taking all my questions so very kindly & pleasantly.1 You have indeed entered on the fowl question in real earnest & I feel very thankful for the point interests me much & may throw light on a very obscure problem.2
I trust to you to be so good as to let me hear as soon as you have any information.
Many thanks for Mr Glenie’s excellent letter, to whom I have written by this post to return my thanks for his kindness.3
With all good wishes believe me | my dear Thwaites | yours very sincerely | Ch. Darwin
