From W. S. Dallas 8 March 1868
Fleet Street
8 March 1868
My dear Sir
I have your kind letter of Friday last & shall avail myself with much pleasure of the opportunity it offers me of making your personal acquaintance, but I must beg for a day towards the end of next week, as I have not yet found myself a suitable lodging & must do so tomorrow.—1 Shall I come on Friday next?2 If I hear nothing to the contrary I will do so.— I hope the new edition is going off as quickly as its predecessor—3
Believe me | Your’s always truly | W. S. Dallas
C. Darwin Esq.
