I request that you will be so good as to return my sincere thanks to the [Jersey] Natural Hist. Socy for the honour which they have conferred on me by my Election as one of their Honorary Members.1

The society has not been identified. The Société Jersiaise was founded in January 1873 on the island of Jersey; however, CD was not listed among their honorary members (Société Jersiaise, Premier bulletin annuel 1875).
