Gotthold Heinrich Otto (Otto) Caspari
1841–1917
German philosopher, psychiatrist, and anthropologist. PhD, Göttingen, 1864. One of the founding editors of the magazine Kosmos in 1877. Appointed professor extraordinarius in the faculty of philosophy, University of Heidelberg, 1877; eligibility for teaching at the university revoked, 1895. Thereafter a freelance writer.
