Physician. Related to Josiah Wedgwood I; second cousin of CD and Emma Darwin. Physician-in-ordinary to Prince Albert, 1840; to Queen Victoria, 1852. President of the Royal Institution of Great Britain, 1865–73. Created baronet, 1853. FRS 1815.
