To John Tyndall 9 March [1874]1
Down, | Beckenham, Kent.
March 9th.
My dear Tyndall
If you can attend the ballotting at the Athenæum at the first meeting, on the 16th of this month, will you be so kind as to give your vote (& exert any influence on others which you properly can) in favour of my nephew, Henry Parker. He is a fellow of Oriel, & I can assure you that he is a quite fit member for election from his abilities & in every other respect.2
My dear Tyndall | Yours very sincerely | Ch. Darwin
